Congressional year.

2006 is a Congressional election year.

If the Democrats manage to take back one or both houses, it will do two good things:

1) It will help reverse the slide of this country away from one-party fascism; and

2) It will make George W. Bush shit in his pants.

A consummation devoutly to be wished.

Mr. Dean wants to fight for every single one of those Congressional seats. And he's right.

Now, I am lucky enough to live in an area where local activism counts for little. My local races are all total locks for Democrats.

So I'm going to try and do more focusing between now and November on the races and campaigns in the rest of the country, and hope that it does a smidgeon of good. If you see anything local you want posted, send it to me.
