U.S. leads global attack on human rights -Amnesty International
"Four years after the Sept. 11 attacks on New York and Washington, human rights are in retreat worldwide and the United States bears most responsibility, rights watchdog Amnesty International said on Wednesday."
"Attempts to dilute the absolute ban on torture through new policies and quasi-management speak, such as 'environmental manipulation, stress positions and sensory manipulation,' was one of the most damaging assaults on global values," the annual report said.
"Guantanamo has become the gulag of our time," Amnesty Secretary General Irene Khan said. - AP
When are the American People going to reclaim their consciences and reject the evil, disgusting people who have taken over the country?
Don't Americans WANT to be on the right side anymore?
Have our consciences been seared with a hot iron that we have allowed those who represent us to drag our reputation through the dung?
Do Americans want America to be remembered by historians as we now remember the dictators and petty tyrants of the past?
