Bring It On

Is Harry Reid bluffing, or does he actually hold the cards?

Looks like we'll find out.

Saying that Republicans want "all or nothing," the Senate's Democratic leader broke off talks yesterday aimed at avoiding a showdown over a handful of the president's judicial nominees and Democrats' use of filibusters to block them.

Following a meeting with Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters, "Negotiations are over. I've tried to compromise but they want all or nothing."

Frist said, "I hope Senator Reid and others know our door is always open to reasonable proposals for fair up or down votes for judicial nominees."

"Reasonable" as defined by unreasonable extremists, of course.
