On the plus side for the Miers nomination, the nomination has the freepers (who are slightly to the right of Mussolini) nearly beside themselves with rage.
Apparently, Ms. Miers donated money to Gore and Bentsen back in 1987/1988, although she has donated to Republicans since then.
