Re "In search of a winning idea," editorial, Oct. 6
I am constantly amazed at intelligent individuals and organizations, like yourselves, that have concluded from our current political climate that the Democrats lack ideas. How exactly did everyone become convinced that Republicans, after blessing us with five years of really bad ideas, are the only ones with any ideas?
The Democrats don't lack ideas; their ideas are simply overshadowed by the corruption and shockingly stupid policies of this White House and the Republican leadership in Congress. The Republicans have proved themselves to be so dangerous that chronicling their misdeeds and deceptions has, of simple necessity, become a critical national priority. Once you discover cancer, it tends to dominate the conversation.
