Laura Bush accuses right-wingers of sexism

When the ear turns tin, it stays tin. Laura Bush says that it's "possible" that sexism is behind criticism of Harriet Miers.

When the Bushies nominate a woman or a minority, it goes without saying that part of the strategy is to accuse Democrats and Liberals of "racism" should they dare to criticize. And they know that no one in the press, and - God forbid - no Democrat - will actually stand up and call them on such transparent nonsense.

But Laura Bush just accused Bush's base of sexism.

Turning to the hoary old "sexism" thing and using it against the fundagelicals will probably infuriate them like nothing you've ever seen.

And I think that will be the final straw.
