They are overreaching again.

I think that with "Path to 9/11" the right-wing propagandist may have made a big mistake.

Yes, they are spreading lies. But they are OBVIOUSLY spreading lies, and there is no way for any normal news organization to mention this without ALSO mentioning the questionable accuracy of what ABC is spreading.

So you know what the silver lining is? That crap about "Bill Clinton was offered Osama Bin Laden on a silver platter and didn't want him" has been floating around cyberspace and right-wing talk radio for 5 years. It's false, but many people don't KNOW that. It has largely gone unchallenged by major media outlets BECAUSE it's only been floating around cyberspace and right-wing talk radio, and hasn't been PART of the major media. But the lie still got out there, and lot of people have heard the lie, but have never heard that it WAS a lie.

But by breaching that wall, ABC is FORCING the major media to mention it, and therefore they are ALSO forcing to point out that the charge is FALSE.

So now, for the first time in five years, many, many people who have ONLY heard the crap about how "Bill Clinton was offered Osama Bin Laden on a silver platter and didn't want him" will now hear for the first time that that was a lie, and that that was an attempt by the right-wing to play partisan politics with an attack on the United States of America.
