Bush declassified the NIE terrorism report.
WHY?
It flat contradicts everything that he has been saying.
When Bush announced that he would declassify excerpts, I assumed that it would show that the initial reports probably were selective. Why else would he declassify it?
But those reports weren't selective. They were completely representational of the whole report. And it is damning. It flat says that Bush's Stupid Decision has increased terrorism and made America less safe.
So why did he release it? Is the poor bastard crying for help or something? "Look, I'm all screwed up, now please help me"?
Why did he declassify this thing?
