Down, down, down. Would the fall never come to an end?

After Bush gave his big speech, his popularity dropped. That's rather unusual for a Presidential speech, and it seems to have the geniuses in the press rather confused. Although they have woken up somewhat, they still haven't quite been able to wrap their tiny little heads around the fact that Bush is NO LONGER POPULAR. Period. It isn't a temporary blip, it isn't something that will change soon, people are sick of the asshole, period.

And it's not all that hard to see WHY his popularity dropped. The substance of the speech was "Screw you - who CARES what you want? All that matters is what I want." Why would a spoiled child throwing a tantrum meet with approval?

But the right-wing morons, and their jackals and sycophants in the press, seem to be rather surprised that such a message failed to elicit huzzahs from the populace. Hell, the citizens just REJECTED the whole damned idea, decisively, in an election. And they were just told that their wishes didn't matter and that they didn't count. Gee, why wouldn't THAT make people happy? I can't imagine.

......but, but, but he's a "popular wartime president." This I know, because the media tells me so!

"9-11! 9-11! 9-11!" Damn, that's always worked before!

Americans are smarter than the media gives them credit for. Sometimes it just takes them a while to come around to the truth--which is understandable, when they're lied to by radio, TV and newspapers 24/7.

American WANT to like the President; and it's particular on people who voted for the moron to admit to having made a mistake. But you can only spend much time getting F'd without vaseline before you notice that your ass hurts.
