WASHINGTON - President Bush said Wednesday he’ll submit a five-year budget proposal that will balance the federal budget by 2012 and called on Congress to sharply cut back on costly pet projects hidden in spending bills.
“It’s time to set aside politics and focus on the future,” Bush said in the Rose Garden after a meeting with his Cabinet.
Well, gee, how come he didn't say anything about it for the last six years while Republicans spent like drunken sailors? How come he didn't veto a SINGLE SPENDING BILL for six years while Republicans spent like drunken sailors? It couldn't POSSIBLY have ANYTHING to do with party, could it? I mean, that couldn't possibly be whats driving our BIPARTISAN President.
Don't worry, George, we'll cut spending. Nobody else could possibly spend as much you have.
But we're going to start by cutting you off from war funds, which is how you should deal with an addict.
Hand over the car keys, George.
