As Americans clamor for answers and some way out of the Bush-created disaster in Iraq, Bush is getting petulant. He says that what we Americans need is more patience.
Well, pardon me for pointing this out, but if Bush thinks that patience is a virtue, how come he didn't think any was required before STARTING a war?
Where was HIS patience when he said we couldn't wait TEN DAYS for the U.N. Inspectors to finish inspecting? When he said we couldn't wait TEN DAYS to start killing people?
Where was HIS patience when he rushed, headlong and heedless and against the advice of damned near everyone on the planet, into a senseless and unnecessary war?
Almost 2,000 Americans dead. Tens of thousands wounded and maimed. Tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians dead. Countless lives destroyed.
How many of those could have been avoided if Bush - who glibly tells everyone ELSE to be patient - had BEEN patient?
Bush thinks patience should be exercised only while WATCHING killing. But IMpatience is called for when STARTING it.
Despite his pathetic protestations - when has he EVER erred on the side of life?
