Libby: 2 1/2 years

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison Tuesday for lying and obstructing the CIA leak investigation — the probe that showed a White House obsessed with criticism of its decision to go to war.

If Bush pardons him, the calls for his impeachment won't just come from Democrats.

And will the press realize that Bush can now no longer refuse to answer questions about it on the grounds that it's "still under investigation"?

I'll bet dollars to dimes that Bush pardons him and that Bush goes totally unscathed.

The Democrats are proving what has been the knock against them for sometime now. They are spineless and are far too concerned about the blowback of attacking the White House than they are about justice.

I could be wrong, but I dont think your average American could even tell you what Libby is going to jail for. Its a sad state of affairs and the republicans now it. Its disgraceful and shameful to the informed.
