Thanks for the props, Iggy. As I have said before, I TRULY appreciate your site and especially your views. They are water in a desert and have become mandatory daily reading for me.
In regards to the RNC e-mail debacle, all I can say is that I am getting pretty sick of Republicans called into hearings that "can't recall" major events. I realize that the ignorance ploy is far less damning that admitting to criminal behavior, but when is the media going to step up and call them on it? We've seen the same charade from staffers all the way up the chain of command to the top members of this administration. It seems that the Republican Party has become a Party of Alzheimer victims in an effort to cover up their criminal behavior. It’s deplorable and despicable and what makes it worse is that many, if not most, Americans seem oblivious to the hostile take over of our freedoms.
It now becomes incumbent upon the DNC and the Media/4th Estate to provide the checks and balances to this unprecedented criminal abuse of power. If they cannot, they will have failed us as well and are equally culpable in the crimes.
“So much attention is paid to the aggressive sins, such as violence and cruelty and greed with all their tragic effects, that too little attention is paid to the passive sins, such as apathy and laziness, which in the long run can have a more devastating and destructive effect upon our society than the others.” --Eleanor Rooseveldt
