Pat Tilman, R.I.P. You deserved better.

"I'm disgusted by things that have happened with the Pentagon since my son's death. I don't trust them one bit." - Mary Tillman, mother
The problem isn't that Pat Tilman was killed by "friendly fire" (and notice how the press has sheepishly adopted that obviously Orwellian phrase), but that the clowns in charge covered it up, and tried to make Tilman's tragic death appear to be the result of American Heroism rather than American Incompetence.

And if you remember, in the OTHER cause celebre, Jessica Lynch, the Pentagon PR department told us about how she bravely fought with everything she had until her capture when, in reality, she was unconscious throughout the fight. (Not Jessica's fault, by the way. The Pentagon lied, she set the record straight, and then the Pentagon said that she must be suffering "amnesia.")

So, we KNOW that they lie about what's going on overseas in order to make things look good even when they look bad. That's not my opinion. The Tilman and Lynch stories establish this as a fact.

So why don't people make the obvious connection, and realize that they are lying about lots of OTHER stuff, not just Tilman and Lynch?

"The investigation is a lie. It's insulting to Pat." - Patrick Tilman, father.
