John McCain's minions are screaming bloody murder about the MEAN MEAN NEW YORK TIMES and how they TIMED the article pointing out McCain's questionable relationship with a lobbyist.
But the fact is that the Times endorsed McCain, and, indeed, they DID time it. They timed it to hurt him AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.
They broke the story AFTER he had the nomination sewn up. And the longest possible period of time before the General Election. This is the BEST time for this to come out, from McCain's point of view.
The fact is that they sat on it for two months because they didn't want to hurt McCain in the primary. Because they endorsed him.
