One of the best moments of Kerry's speech at Temple wasn't included in the official transcript because it was an off-the cuff remark. He was interrupted by a heckler who wanted to know his stance on AIDS. Intead of doing what Laura Bush did, and having the heckler dragged out of the hall in handcuffs, he interrupted his speech and very smooth STATED his stance on AIDS. It was VERY smooth and an off the cuff articulation Bush couldn't make if his life depended on it.
The contrast with Bush couldn't be greater: A candidate appears before a diverse audience. Someone yells out a question and demands an answer - and instead of getting hauled away and handcuffed, the candidate or elected official ANSWERS!
What a breath of fresh air.
