Just wanted to draw people's attention to a column by theatre critic and blogger par excellence Michael Dale, pointing out a so-far unthought-of problem with the coming Republican National Convention in New York.

"On August 29th there'll be eight Broadway musicals...giving special 5PM performances for audiences made up entirely of Republican delegates. Now, I have no hard facts to confirm this, but from what I understand it's quite possible that the companies of some Broadway musicals may contain one or two homosexuals. And out of these one or two homosexuals per production, it's quite possible that a smattering of them (and perhaps even their co-workers) might feel a little resentful finding out that a requirement of their employment is to provide an evening's entertainment for an audience made up entirely of people who wish to re-elect a president who recently tried to pass a constitutional amendment that would restrict their civil rights. Of course, I'm just guessing here."
