Operation Truth is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that seeks to educate the American public about the truth of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from the perspective of the soldiers who have experienced them first-hand.
This provides a very different, far more detailed and far more realistic picture of what it's like to be in Iraq and Afghanistan than you get from the news. While the Republicans try to downplay the realities of war for political reasons, the men and women who are over there have to LIVE it, whether it's on the fron page of the newspaper or not.
Especially look at the "Vets Profile" and "Vets Speak" section.
